QGIS to Invest projection problem

 Hi all,

We're trying to importing a bathymetry file (raster file), and additional shape files into QGIS with OpenStreetLayers and then drawing a polygon.  The next step is to run Invest on these.  The output map (leaflet) shows the result in the wrong location and we suspect a problem with projections.  Has anyone experienced anything similar, and even better, know how to fix this?  Thanks,
Jim

Hi @jimp, is it possible that you're using the Web Mercator projection?  I ask because GDAL has had issues with Web Mercator for some time (here are two of the issues if you're interested https://trac.osgeo.org/gdal/ticket/3962 and https://trac.osgeo.org/gdal/ticket/5924), where the image shows up in generally the right place when the output is plotted, but is offset from where it should be.  If this is the case for you, the only workaround at the moment would be to use a different projection and see if leaflet will display it appropriately.
  • Thanks for the reply.  We were able to fix the issue by switching all
the datums to WGS84/ UTM 4N.  It may have been the order that we bought
the polygons and streetview into QGIS, but fixing the datum and
rebuilding seems to have done the trick.  Thanks,

    Jim
